The Economics Festival in Trento
The 2022 edition of the Festival dell’Economia di Trento will be held in Trento from 2 to 5 June. The event is organised by the Autonomous Province of Trento and by the 24 ORE Group in collaboration with the University of Trento and the City of Trento, with a wide-ranging programme that will revolve around the main theme, which is After the Pandemic (And With a War in Progress), "ORDER AND DISORDER". The Pirelli Foundation will be taking part with two events linked to the promotion of its corporate culture: On 3 June at 5 p.m., at the Municipal Library in Trento, Antonio Calabrò, director of the Pirelli Foundation, together with Paolo Bricco, correspondent for Il Sole 24 Ore, will present the book Thinking Ahead: Pirelli, 150 Years of Industry, Innovation, and Culture. The new book, edited by the Pirelli Foundation and published by Marsilio, is a collective account of the most important technological innovations made by Pirelli from its foundation in 1872 through to the present day. Also on 3 June, at 7.30 p.m., Maestro Salvatore Accardo and the Orchestra da Camera Italiana with the participation of Gile Bae, as solo pianist, will perform J.S. Bach's Piano Concerto no.1, Giuseppe Verdi's Quartet in E minor and 'Il Canto della Fabbrica', a work inspired by the sounds of the Pirelli Industrial Centre in Settimo Torinese, commissioned from the composer Francesco Fiore by the Pirelli Foundation in 2017.
