Photographs
The world of Pirelli told by hundreds of thousands of items, including negative plates and films, prints and slides. A whole variety of subjects, including the factories, trade fairs and exhibitions, and corporate events, as well as the products, the vehicles on which the tyres were used (cars, motorcycles, bicycles, aeroplanes, and farming machines) and races on Pirelli tyres. All the photographs were produced or commissioned by the company’s Advertising and Communication department from the 1910s to the 1990s to illustrate company magazines and product catalogues or for advertising campaigns. The artists who created them include such great masters of photography as Vincenzo Aragozzini, Aldo Ballo, Arno Hammacher, Rodolfo Facchini, Ugo Mulas, and Federico Patellani, as well as famous agencies such as Farabola and Publifoto.
