Franz Kafka
Franz Kafka was born in Prague on 3 July 1883 and died in Kierling on 3 June 1924. Though Kafka is considered one of the most important writers of the 20th century and a precursor of existentialism, many of his works were only published posthumously. His most famous short story is “The metamorphosis”, in which the transformation of young Gregor Samsa into a huge insect becomes an allegory of “diversity”.
